Have you ever wanted to learn the difference between reptiles and mammals? Or maybe you'relooking to plan something extra fun and exciting to do with your family and friends. Perhaps you're already a herp enthusiast and would like to meet our scaly friends. No matter what level of knowledge you have or what age you are, we have something for you.
Maritime Reptile Adventures is proud to be the first reptile zoo in Nova Scotia and the largest locally owned and operated reptile outreach program in the province. By combining entertainment, education, and live animals, we hope to dispel myths, alleviate fears, and give the public a chance to get up close and personal with some of the world's most misunderstood creatures. We focus our education on reptiles and amphibians from all four corners of the world, as well as those found right here in the Maritimes. We encourage people to take part in local efforts to conserve our native wildlife.
Both our facility and outreach program are fully registered and insured to meet or exceed all school board standards. All necessary permits and inspections from the Department of Natural Resources have been obtained and completed and all of our animals are regularly vet-inspected.
The zoo is currently closed for the season. Thank you to everyone for showing your support and helping to make our first season a success.
